THE BENEFITS
Moxibustion is a Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy that uses heat to warm the meridians, restore Yang energy, and move stagnant Qi and blood.
TCM practitioners have used moxibustion for centuries to warm the Kidney meridian, replenish depleted Yang, and rebuild the body's defences.
Our patches bring this ancient practice into everyday life, wearable, portable, and smoke free.
For anyone experiencing:
✔️ Low energy and constant tiredness, even after sleeping
✔️ Frequent colds or a weak immune system
✔️ A sense of coldness, heaviness, or flatness in the body
Mugwort
The foundation of moxibustion practice. Mugwort penetrates the meridians to dispel cold and dampness, move stagnant Qi and Blood, and restore warmth to areas of depletion. Applied as heat to the skin, its effects go deeper than topical ingredients alone.
Astragalus (Huang Qi)
One of the most important Qi tonics in classical Chinese medicine. Used specifically to strengthen Wei Qi, the defensive energy that protects the body from external pathogens. Also supports the Spleen, which TCM considers the root of energy production and immune resilience.
Cinnamon Bark (Rou Gui)
A primary Yang tonic used to warm the Kidney and Ming Men, the Gate of Vitality. In TCM, Kidney Yang is the source of warmth and drive for the whole body. Rou Gui is prescribed when that warmth is depleted, bringing heat back to the core and supporting circulation throughout the meridians.
Ginger (Sheng Jiang)
Warming and dispersing. Ginger supports the Spleen and Stomach, aids in the absorption of the other herbs, and helps the formula work more effectively. In TCM, strong digestion is foundational to strong Qi and immune function.

What TCM says about feeling depleted
In TCM, Yin and Yang need to stay in balance for the body to work well. Yang is the warm, active force behind your energy, circulation and immune defence.
When exposed to air, iron powder oxidises to generate consistent warmth (40-46°C) for 4 hours. Warmth is what gets everything moving again.
It starts to conserve. Warmth retreats inward, energy drops, and Wei Qi, your defensive energy, weakens. That's why colds, tiredness and low mood creep in.
TCM has a name for your body's outer layer of defence: Wei Qi, or defensive Qi. It sits just under the skin and it's your first line against cold, wind, and whatever is going round.
Wei Qi runs on Yang. When Yang is low, Wei Qi gets thin. That's the TCM explanation for why some people sail through winter and you go down twice.
Astragalus, Huang Qi, is the classic herb for exactly this job. It's been used for centuries to strengthen Wei Qi, and it's in every patch.
Inside each moxibustion patch
Apply at the first sign of cramping or lower back pain. Best used from day 1 through your heaviest flow days.
A moxibustion patch is a self-heating, herb-infused patch that recreates the warming effect of traditional Chinese moxibustion without a flame. Muihood's Immunity & Yang Support Patch uses mugwort, astragalus, cinnamon bark and ginger to bring warmth to the Kidney meridian, the same effect practitioners get from burning mugwort over acupuncture points.
Yang deficiency is a TCM pattern where the body's warm, active energy runs low. It shows up as feeling cold, tired and run down even after a full night's sleep, and TCM links it to the Kidneys, the organ it treats as the root of Yang for the whole body.
Gentle, consistent warmth for 4 hours (similar to a heating pad but infused with herbs). Heat activates within 5-10 minutes.
Our patches combine therapeutic heat with targeted TCM herbs that absorb through the skin, targeting the root cause of stagnation, not just providing surface comfort.
A self-heating patch uses iron powder that oxidises on contact with air, giving off steady heat, usually 40 to 46°C for around 4 hours. That heat carries the herbal blend, mugwort, astragalus, cinnamon bark and ginger, into the skin and the meridian point underneath.
No. Each patch is designed for single use only. Once the heat cycle completes, the patch should be removed and disposed of. The patch contents can be composted.
Remove the adhesive backing (discard in waste). The inner herbal contents are compostable and can be added to your compost bin.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep in the sealed pouch until ready to use. Once opened, the patch will activate.
Iron powder, activated carbon, vermiculite, sodium chloride, and water. When exposed to air, the iron oxidizes to generate heat, a safe, tested method used in many heat therapy products.
The main placement is the lower back, over the Kidneys, since TCM treats this as the root of Yang and immune energy. It also works on the lower belly for energy dips after eating, or along the spine to follow the Du Mai, the body's main Yang channel.
